Do you find traditional calendars and diaries frustrating and needlessly complicated when all you want is to make a simple entry? The present day Gregorian calendars actually date back to 1582 and are named after a dude called Pope Gregory XIII, who summoned his underlings and announced, “Pay heed, my humble minions, I keep missing important dates all the time, begone and invent me a Calendar that I can write stuff on so I don’t forget and I will call it The Gregorian Calendar, after myself!” Within days Pope “Greg” got his new calendar and he was pleased because it was so simple to use. He just made an entry with his quill pen, like, “Conduct a liturgy, make some new bishops, get coffee, pay electricity bill!” and that was that! He then hung it on the wall and at a glance saw what important stuff was coming up!

Modern digital versions, by their nature, have actually got more complex to make and instantly view simple entries. Wouldnt you like to just tap a day and make an entry? Also, do you really need to be probed to set a "START" and "FINISH" time just for having lunch with grandma or meeting some friends? Wouldnt you once again like to see at a glance which days ahead are important and those which are not and just like Pope Greg did in the 1500s, scribble an entry with no fuss?

So, if you dont need your day logged into minutes and hours, then why not try for FREE the DEFCON Calendar/ Diary App and dont forget DEFCON CALENDAR will last for over 60,000 years! Just imagine, in the far distant future, human/droid like people, dressed in tin foil, could find your entries on an old IPhone buried deep underground and solemnly marvel at the entries you made in ancient times and be astonished by your wisdom!

DEFCON Calendar/ Diary takes the best bits of Pope Gregs 1582 version and harnesses it with the awesome power inside your IOS device! DEFCON calendar/ diary allows you to simply tap a day, which is displayed as a button, make a simple written entry and then save that day as:

DEFCON 1 = RED day (Unmissable)
Simply put, a DEFCON 1 day has an entry which is extremely important and unavoidable. Maybe a doctors appointment or homework assignment with a deadline. Saving in DEFCON 1 turns the day and that month button to RED and has an alarm option. This status comes with a DEFCON 1 style deafening klaxon alarm if required!

DEFCON 3 = AMBER day (Important)
You have a second option to save an entry of lesser importance as a DEFCON/3 Amber day. Maybe its a date your not crazy about or a social event which is missable.

DEFCON 5 = GREEN day (Free day)
All day buttons start life as DEFCON 5 Green days by default and stay in this state until an entry is saved in one of the 2 other statuses.

It is possible to see important days or "un-free" days by their colour status, immediately upon opening the App. Just a simple tap on each day reveals the entry, if any.
